Description
The GY-BMP280 Barometric Pressure & Temperature Sensor Module is a high-precision environmental sensor built around the Bosch BMP280 chip — one of the most accurate and low-power atmospheric pressure sensors available. It measures barometric pressure, altitude, and temperature with exceptional precision over I2C or SPI, making it ideal for weather stations, altitude tracking, drone flight controllers, and indoor climate monitoring projects.
Compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi, the BMP280 is widely supported by the Adafruit and official Bosch libraries — making setup quick and beginner-friendly. At just 199 BDT, it is one of the most capable and affordable pressure sensors available in Bangladesh.

🔧 Features & Specifications
🔧 Library Setup & Quick Start Example
Install Adafruit BMP280 Library
Arduino IDE → Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries → Search Adafruit BMP280 → Install. Also install Adafruit Unified Sensor when prompted.
Wire the Module
VCC → 3.3V, GND → GND, SDA → SDA (GPIO21 on ESP32 / A4 on Arduino), SCL → SCL (GPIO22 on ESP32 / A5 on Arduino).
BMP280 Read Pressure, Temperature & Altitude
#include <Wire.h> #include <Adafruit_BMP280.h> Adafruit_BMP280 bmp; // I2C mode void setup() { Serial.begin(115200); if (!bmp.begin(0x76)) { // Try 0x77 if not found Serial.println("BMP280 not found! Check wiring."); while(1); } Serial.println("✅ BMP280 Ready!"); } void loop() { Serial.print("Temperature: "); Serial.print(bmp.readTemperature()); Serial.println(" °C"); Serial.print("Pressure: "); Serial.print(bmp.readPressure() / 100.0F); Serial.println(" hPa"); Serial.print("Altitude: "); Serial.print(bmp.readAltitude(1013.25)); // Sea level hPa Serial.println(" m"); Serial.println("---"); delay(2000); }
If the sensor is not found, change 0x76 to 0x77 — the I2C address depends on the SDO pin state.
